Cayuga Family Medicine is excellent, in my opinion. I have been seen by two clinicians there over the years, and both very helpful, and thorough. My advice with any medical office: Take a book...things come up, and the clinician may be tied up in order to properly care for a patient. Arrive 15 minutes early....many people arrive at the time of appointment, and by the time vitals, weight, vision, etc. is done, the appointment is half gone. If you want to get in and out fast, schedule an early morning appointment. When coming in with an issue....keep it to one issue. Many patients think the clinician has enough time to deal with 5+ issues....wrong!! Pick the most pertinent issue. Make sure you have a thorough history, as the history is 80% of the diagnosis. Most clinicians have 15 minutes for each appointment. It is a grueling schedule!! Medicine is an art... not an exact science. Take responsibility for taking care of yourself, and understanding what you need to do for preventive medicine. Know your meds, the dose, and why you are taking them. Take a roll in your care....be proactive. Doctors , NP's, and PA's are doing the best they can. They aren't walking medical encyclopedia's, they are humans with a solid knowledge base. Be thankful for their service. Barb White

We have been with CFM since my first daughter was born in 2012. We trust the doctors here and they have been great with our children. Dr. Loehr takes time to listen to your questions and concerns. We have been going here for 10 years and we have no complaints.

I’ve been going to this practice since I moved to the area in 2000. I especially like Dr. Loehr and the Nurse Practitioner Amy. They are dedicated and caring. They don’t judge people and you can feel the care and warmth they have for their patients. I take my 2 young boys there as well, one of whom has some behavioral concerns. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences from the practitioners here. There is one desk lady that does consistently come across as rude but that was never the case until recently. Think they just got a rotten apple.

Ben Kornblum, my PA is great. Always bending over backwards to make himself available. Extremely knowledgeable and willing to admit when he needs to do more research on my conditions, which he always does and gets back to me. The office staff is courteous and efficient. Can’t recommend this practice more highly.

Ben Kornblum, my primary care provider is exceptional. My medical situation is complex, and at every turn Ben has provided astute guidance, support and referral when necessary. The office staff are amazingly responsive, courteous, and efficient. It’s a small practice, a busy place, but I always receive personal attention. Highly recommend!

Cayuga Family Medicine is the reason that I have dipped my toe back into western medicine after easily a decade of not having a primary care provider. I saw Dr. Karnow for a reproductive health issue and she made me feel safe and comfortable while working through that. I saw Ben Kornblum to get some labs run and he needed to take a blood sample. I have had a very difficult time with blood draws and was really nervous about it. Ben was an absolute pro and talked me through everything in a calm and confident manner. It was the first time I have ever gotten blood drawn and not passed out. Huge win. When the labs came back, Ben followed up and put the results in plain English and helped me consider all of my options for optimal health. I would not feel comfortable going anywhere else and I am so grateful we have such knowledgeable, talented and dedicated providers in our community.
